Instructions

  1. Peel the onion, dice it finely and sweat it a little if necessary. Rub a pan with a little oil.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients and add the hot water. Stir until a chewy mass forms. Shape them into six small patties (approx. 1 cm high) and fry them in a pan over medium heat until they are lightly browned on both sides.
  3. The patties taste warm and cold, as a side dish or on a bread roll. You can also mix tomato paste with the mass and vary the taste with various herbs such as thyme, rosemary or parsley.
  4. If you like it even more juicy, mix a grated carrot into the mixture. The lupine flour makes the patties very filling and despite the small amount of fat they have a nice, intense taste that is in no way inferior to the meaty version.
  5. Tip: Sweet lupine flour is available in health food stores and health food stores. It is rich in valuable amino acids and is also ideal for a protein-enriched diet for athletes.
