For the yogurt sauce, mash the garlic, mix with the yogurt and season with salt.
For the filling, cut the onions and peppers into small pieces and fry them with olive oil. Add the minced meat to the onions and fry with them. Add a tablespoon of tomato paste, fry and then add the tomatoes. Everything is seared until the tomatoes are soft.

Season to taste with salt and the spices, add 50 ml of water and cook with the lid closed for approx. 5 - 10 minutes on low heat.
To serve, a lavash bread is placed on a serving plate, the filling comes on top, then lavash bread and filling again. You shouldn`t put too much filling on top, as several layers are made.
I always make five layers, the fourth lavash bread is cut first and the filling is spread over it again. Finally, the yogurt sauce comes on top.
Note: Kayseri is also known for the Turkish tortellini (manti). In the original, the lavash bread is baked in-house, but in this recipe I will show you the simple variant with ready-made lavash bread.
