Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220 ° C top / bottom heat (convection: 200 ° C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Now sift the flour with the baking powder into a bowl. Add the butter and stir in until a coarse crumbly mixture is formed. Mix in the sugar and lavender flowers, put some of the lavender aside for sprinkling. Mix the mixture together with the milk to form a soft, sticky batter.
  3. Then place the dough on a well-floured surface and flatten it into a disc (2.5 cm thick). Cut out about 12 scones with a round mold and place on the tray. Brush thinly with milk and sprinkle with the rest of the lavender. Put in the oven and bake for about 10-14 minutes until golden.
  4. Spread the jam and cream on the still warm scones and enjoy.
