Instructions

  1. Pluck the lettuce into small pieces, wash and drain well or spin. Cut the spring onions or chives into small rings and add to the salad.
  2. Halve the lemon and squeeze it. Put about the same amount of water as lemon juice in a small mixing bowl or dressing shaker. Usually it is about 6 - 7 tablespoons of lemon juice and just as much water is needed. Salt and pepper the juice. Add about 5 level tablespoons of sugar, try the dressing and, if necessary, season again with sugar, salt and pepper. The dressing should end up being slightly sweet and slightly spicy. If it is still too sweet with the 5 tablespoons of sugar, add more salt. Now add the olive oil, mix the dressing and pour over the salad.
  3. With low carb or similar: The sugar can of course also be replaced by erythritol or other sweeteners. Please note, however, that normal erythritol is not quite as soluble as powder or liquid sweetener. In addition, erythritol has a little less sweetening power.
