Instructions

  1. Prepare a dough by mixing all the ingredients together in a bowl. Knead the dough until it becomes nice and smooth. Put some oil on the surface of the dough. Cover it with cling film and 1 - 2 thick towels. Set the dough aside for about 25 minutes.
  2. Prepare the filling in between by washing fresh spinach well and chopping it into small pieces. Cut frozen spinach into small pieces. Chop the onions and add them to the spinach. Sprinkle salt over the spinach and knead the spinach with the onions until a juice is formed. Discard the juice so it doesn`t leak in the oven. Then add lemon juice, oil, pepper, salt and sumac to taste and knead a little more. If you don`t have sumac, you can do without it (sumac has a slightly sour taste).
  3. Roll out the dough and cut out circles the size of a saucer. Place some dry spinach filling in the center of each dough and press down a little. Grasp the edge of each circle at 3 points at the same distance between your thumb and forefinger and press together so that a kind of triangle is created and a small edge is formed from which the filling cannot run out. Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake them in a preheated oven at 200 ° C for 20-25 minutes until they turn golden brown.
  4. You can also eat the particles cold. You can also freeze them in advance.
  5. Every time I make these spinach pieces, they`re gone in no time. You can eat them the next day if there is still something left. Unfortunately, there is nothing left with me. Although I tried twice as much, but to no avail.
  6. Is also very suitable for the party buffet.
