The Leberkäse, best to buy it in slices, cut into strips. Cut the pickles into slices. Peel the onion and cut into rings, preferably with a slicer.
Put everything in a large, sealable bowl.
For the dressing, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper, preferably freshly ground, colorful pepper, do not be sparing here, it makes the taste good, add it and season to taste.
Let the finished sausage salad stand in the closed bowl in the refrigerator for about half an hour. The longer it can steep, the better the taste!
This goes well with fresh farmer`s bread or pretzels, for example.
