Instructions

  1. Dissolve corn starch in about 6 tablespoons of milk. Bring the rest of the milk to the boil with the 100g sugar, the lemon peel and the cinnamon stick. When it starts to boil, remove the lemon peel and cinnamon. Add the milk and corn starch mixture to the milk, stirring constantly, and bring to the boil again.
  2. Briefly rinse a baking pan (or similar) with cold water. Pour in the milk. (The milk should stand about a finger`s breadth in the pan.) Let cool down completely. Cut the mixture into small cubes. Bread these in flour and beaten egg and fry in a pan with hot corn oil until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper and cover with sugar (or powdered sugar).
