Instructions

  1. Bring ½ l of water to the boil in a kettle or on the stove. Add the 4 tea bags and let the tea steep, depending on the time indicated for the tea. In the meantime, cut 4 slices from the lemon, prepare the sugar and the rest of the water and remove the ice cubes from the foil or form and place in a bowl.
  2. After the waiting time, remove the tea bags from the saucepan and add the second ½ L water, the sugar, the 4 lemon wedges and a few squirts of the juice from the other half of the lemon and stir the mixture briefly. Then immediately add the ice cubes and place in the refrigerator for about 3 - 4 hours. Important: Without the ice cubes, the iced tea will be bitter and will not taste good!
  3. After the waiting time, remove the lemon slices from the saucepan and pour the drink through a sieve into a carafe.
  4. Tip: After you`ve chilled the drink for a few minutes, you can add 2 - 3 ice cubes to speed up the cooling process a little. Serve the drink cool with a lemon wedge and ice cubes.
