Instructions

  1. Peel the onion. Dice the bacon and onion. Sear the bacon in the pressure cooker, take it out of the pot and set aside. Sweat the onion cubes in the fried fat, add the lentils and stock. Cook under pressure for about 10 minutes and allow to cool to room temperature.
  2. Halve the paprika and hot peppers, clean, core and cut into strips. Halve the tomatoes, remove the stalk and cut into eighths. Cut the potatoes into slices. Add the chopped vegetables to the lentils.
  3. Season to taste with vinegar, salt, chili powder and pepper and sprinkle with the fried bacon. The recipe can also be prepared without a pressure cooker.
  4. The normal cooking time for lentils is 45 minutes. In the pressure cooker 10 minutes. Only add salt or seasoning after cooking, otherwise the specified cooking times may be longer.
