Instructions

  1. Wash the lettuce thoroughly and pluck it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Cut the streaky bacon into pieces and leave it in hot olive oil for crackling (fry until crispy). Add the sour cream and buttermilk and bring to the boil. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cut the chives into pieces and add them. Pour this hot sauce over the lettuce and mix.
  3. You can serve boiled potatoes sprinkled with plenty of dill.
  4. Note: The whole thing is best eaten in a deep plate with a fork and spoon. The first bites are a bit unusual - but believe me, once you`ve eaten 3 bites you stop just before you burst.
