Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to around 180 ° C top / bottom heat and grease the tray or line with baking paper. Put all the dough ingredients in a bowl and knead into a smooth dough. Divide the dough into 4 portions and press them onto the baking tray to make flat cakes that are not too thin, about 10-13 cm in size. Spread a teaspoon of jam on each flatbread. For the crumble mix flour with sugar, mix with melted butter to crumble and spread on the particles. Now bake the pieces in about 20 minutes, more blond, otherwise they will get dry.

  4. If you don`t like the jam, just leave it out. If you like, you can also sprinkle a few currants, apple pieces, etc. on the dough under the crumble.
  5. You can freeze the particles, they taste delicious even when thawed. If you need more, you can easily double the recipe, but I would prefer to do more in two runs.
  6. As simple as the recipe is, even older children can use it to bake something sweet. It takes me about 45-50 minutes to bite into it because I like the particles very much while they are still warm. When it cools down, it just takes a little longer. In any case, they are really tasty, wonderfully fluffy, with crunchy crumbles. The ingredients for the 4 pieces cost less than 1 finished piece at the bakery.
