Instructions

  1. Bring the water with cane sugar to a boil in a saucepan and bring to the boil briefly. Let the sugar solution cool down. Wash the limes with hot water, dry them and peel two limes thinly. Halve the limes and squeeze out the juice.
  2. Put the lime zest with the lime juice, cinnamon stick, sugar solution and rum in a prepared bottle. Close the bottle tightly with a bottle cap and shake vigorously once. Another glass vessel can be used for this purpose, but it is only important that it has a closure. Let it steep in a cool place for about four weeks.
  3. After the brewing time, fill the liqueur into small, prepared bottles and close the bottles tightly.
