Instructions

  1. Wash the liver and pat dry with kitchen paper. Cut the onions into thin rings.
  2. Put butter in a frying pan and heat on medium heat, when the butter starts to foam, add the onion rings and fry until translucent. Then remove and set aside.
  3. Heat some more butter in the pan. Put the liver in and fry for 4-5 minutes on the first side, then turn the liver and add the fried onion slices and fry again for 4-5 minutes. Now turn up the heat and put the liver on the first seared side in a good heat for a minute. The liver and onions should now be ready to serve.
  4. It can then also be seasoned with pepper and salt. However, I prefer the pure taste of liver and onion. This goes well with mashed potatoes.
