Peel and dice the potatoes, carrots and onions. Season with salt, pepper and thyme and cook in the broth until cooked. Cut the sausages into small slices and let them get hot in the soup. Melt the processed cheese in the soup and vigorously stir in the cheese.
Taste and season again if necessary.
Tastes even better the next day than freshly cooked.
