Instructions

  1. Mix the flour with baking powder, salt and sugar. Add the whisked yogurt and egg yolks and stir to a smooth batter. Now gradually add the low-fat milk until it is thick and thick. Let rest for about 10 minutes and then fold in the egg white, which has been beaten to stiff snow.
  2. Grease the preheated waffle iron with a little butter (I only do this for the first waffle, that`s usually enough), pour in enough batter so that the grooves are barely filled. Close the iron and fry the waffles until they are golden yellow and crispy.
  3. Makes approx. 6-9 heart waffles. 24 P in total. With 8 waffles 3 P per waffle.
  4. Plum sauce:
  5. Wash, halve and core the plums. Mix with sugar and spices and leave in a covered pot for 24 hours.
  6. Bring to the boil while stirring on a high level and then simmer for about 3 hours. The pot may only be half full. Stirring occasionally. Then add rum and pour into mason jars that have been rinsed hot, screw on and turn upside down for 5 minutes.
  7. If you want it to be easier, boil a glass of plums with a little rum, cinnamon and 1 packet of vanilla sugar until you get a sauce.
  8. Serve a waffle each with plum jam and 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  9. Of course, the low-fat waffles don`t taste like waffles made with butter, they have a slightly different texture and taste. Nonetheless, it is one of the few dessert diet recipes that I like very much and continue to prepare that way.
  10. We still eat a little plum / plum jam and 1 scoop of ice cream per waffle. Even this combination has, with approx. 5 points, significantly fewer calories and fat than a buttery waffle without side dishes with approx. 8 P.
