First melt 2 teaspoons of butter in a pan. Heat the pan on medium heat and hold this heat until the end.
Meanwhile, cut the bread into small cubes (I prefer grain bread). Then toast the bread in the pan. Stir in between so that the sides turn evenly golden brown. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from the pan and set aside.
Cut the onion and tomato into small pieces. Now add 1 teaspoon of butter to the pan and fry the onion. After a few minutes, add the tomatoes as well. Optionally add 2 tablespoons of milk to make it creamier. Then add the cheese of your choice, for example Gouda or Cheddar, and let the cheese melt. Then add the eggs and bread to the pan and stir until the egg is ready. Season to taste.
