Instructions

  1. Finely chop the onions and sauté half in olive oil. Add the tomatoes with their juice. Season well with salt, pepper and oregano. Simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes.
  2. Break the macaroni in half and cook in salted boiling water until firm to the bite. Melt the butter in a saucepan and sweat the remaining onions in it. Then add the thawed spinach and squeeze the garlic. Season well with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  3. Mix in the cream cheese and bring everything to the boil briefly, then simmer gently for another 5 minutes on the lowest setting. Wash the basil, pluck it into strips and stir in as well.
  4. Mix the spinach with the macaroni and place in a baking dish. Then roughly crumble the soft cheese (goat or cow`s milk cheese, depending on your preference) over the pasta. Finally pour the tomato sauce over it and bake in the oven for approx. 10 minutes at 200 ° C (fan oven).
