- Cut the herring fillets into pieces. Peel the onion and cut into rings. Core, eighth and slice the apples. Cut the pickles into slices.
- Put everything in a bowl and season with cloves, juniper, bay leaves and pepper.
- Then add the vinegar water, cream, milk and mayonnaise and stir everything together.
- Let it steep for at least 3 hours.
- We also have jacket potatoes.
- The amounts of onions, apples and pickles can be varied according to taste. Sometimes I replace the pepper with peppercorns.
