Cut the meat into 4 cm cubes, season with salt and pepper and place in a sealable bowl or food storage container with the onion cut into half rings, the finely chopped cloves of garlic and the bay leaves. Mix the sesame oil, soy sauce, honey and Tabasco well, pour over the meat and leave in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Turn the meat more often or shake the bowl.
Peel and quarter the onions. Place the meat, a bay leaf and onion in this order on soaked wooden skewers. Cook on the grill or in the pan at first on a higher heat and then on a low heat, drizzling the marinade over and over again.
The bay leaves should not be eaten, they are only used for flavoring.
