Instructions

  1. For the marinade, put the oil in a bowl. If there is only olive oil, then only this one. Add the seasoned salt, lemon juice, oregano and paprika powder to the oil and stir everything well.
  2. Cut the parsley into small pieces.
  3. Put the minced meat in a large enough bowl. Add the marinade, egg, breadcrumbs and parsley and knead everything together well. (It is best to prepare the minced meat a few hours in advance so that it can sit in the refrigerator for a few hours.)
  4. Take out the minced meat in portions of 200 g and shape each into a round disc with a diameter of about 15 cm. Place the feta cheese on one half and fold the other half over it. Press the minced meat lightly on the edges so that it holds together.
  5. Then cook in the pan, in the oven or even better on the grill to the desired browning.
  6. This goes well with a Greek farmer`s salad, tzatziki, garlic sauces and dips, flatbread and djuvec rice, or whatever else you like with it. Do not forget the Imiglikos! Yamas, my dear friends!
  7. Annotation:
  8. I recommend ground beef. But this can also be mixed with minced lamb. Otherwise mixed minced meat is also possible. If you like, you can also add a chopped onion and / or 2 to 3 cloves of garlic to the minced meat.
  9. The feta can also be exchanged for mozzarella if you like.
