Instructions

  1. Beat the margarine with the marzipan, 200 g sugar and the eggs until frothy. Mix flour with baking powder and sultanas and stir into the batter.
  2. Peel the apples (drizzle with a little lemon juice if necessary) and dice them. Pour the batter into a springform pan (28 mm) and distribute the apple pieces on top, pressing in a little.
  3. Bake at 170 ° C in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, heat the butter with cream, 80 g sugar, vanilla sugar and the almond flakes in a pan and simmer until the liquid is syrupy. Spread on the pre-baked cake and bake for another 20 minutes until the almonds are browned.
