Peeled potatoes – 800 g
Peeled celery root – 200 g
Garlic – 1 head
Cream 10% – 100 ml
Butter – 100 g
Bacon – 100 g
Hard cheese – 100 g
Green onions – a small bunch

Bay leaf – 1 pc.
Black peppercorns – 5 pcs.

Even if you do not like celery, try to make such mashed potatoes, the taste of boiled celery is very softened and beneficially complements potatoes, and bacon and cheese make a festive side dish from ordinary potatoes.
Prepare all the ingredients for making holiday potatoes. Cut the potatoes and celery into large cubes. Boil with garlic (whole) and spices until tender. I put the spices in the tea brewing device so that they can be easily removed later.
Cut the bacon into squares. Fry until golden brown. Heat butter and cream until hot.
Drain all the water from the potatoes. Make mashed potatoes by adding butter and cream gradually. Salt to taste.
Grease a baking dish with fat melted from bacon, it is very fragrant. Finely chop the onion. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.
Put the mashed potatoes in the dish. Place some of the bacon on top. Then sprinkle with cheese and top with bacon again.
Bake the mashed potatoes in the oven for 10 minutes at 220 degrees. Sprinkle the finished dish with finely chopped green onions.
