- Rinse the matjes with cold water, pat dry. Cut the fillets crosswise into strips approx. 1 cm thick.
- Peel and finely dice the onion. Wash the dill, spin dry and cut finely.
- Mix the mustard with the balsamic vinegar and the dill. Fold in the matjes strips.
- Mix the sour cream with the cranberry jam.
- Cut the pretzel sticks diagonally into thick slices. Spread the herring on top and decorate with a dollop of cranberry sauce.
