Bring the Maultaschen to a boil in about 1 liter of stock and then let it steep. At the same time, prepare a tomato sauce from a can of tomatoes (even better pizza tomatoes) and various Italian spices such as thyme, oregano, basil or a ready-made spaghetti seasoning mix. Season to taste with salt and pepper. (I still have a pinch of sugar, but that`s a matter of taste)
Put the Maultaschen in a baking dish and cover with the tomato sauce. Then sprinkle the cheese over it. You can mix the Emmentaler with the Parmesan beforehand. Baked the whole thing for about 20 minutes at 200 degrees.
