Process the minced beef, 4 tablespoons of peanut butter, corn grits and the egg into a meat paste and season with salt and pepper - if necessary, add a little more corn grits until the meat paste is firm enough to form the patties. Form 6 large, flat patties out of the meat.
In the meantime, heat some oil in the pan. Fry the patties in it; initially at a high temperature. Then turn down the stove a little and finish frying the patties. Then fry the bacon until crispy.
Cut open the burger buns. Brush the lower parts with a little ketchup. Place one lettuce leaf on each and cover it with a slice of cheese. Then place the patty on top and top it with a baked onion ring (I always bring it with me) and a slice of bacon. Brush the top of the burger bun with peanut butter and close the burger.
We always have sweet potato wedges with sour cream dip.
