I used to cook these “cakes” only on holidays. But lately this puff pastry dish has been on my daily menu. The fillings are always different. Today, beef stewed in tomato juice as a filling. Meat cakes (meat puffs) are delicious and simple, as always! Help yourself!
Cut the meat into small pieces. Fry in a small amount of sunflower oil until all the liquid has boiled away and the meat is browned a little.
We transfer to a saucepan. Add chopped onion, bay leaf, salt. Pour in tomato juice. Leave on low heat until tender. It takes me 40 minutes.
Cooking puff envelopes. To do this, roll out the dough, cut into squares, make cuts and fold the edges. How I do it can be seen very clearly in my short video (only 2 minutes!).
Put the finished puff envelopes in an oven preheated to 200˚C for 10-15 minutes. Then put the filling in the middle of each envelope, sprinkle the puffs with meat with herbs and serve!
