Rinse the meat, dry it and cut into 3 cm cubes. Mix the olive oil with lemon juice, wine, salt, pepper, halved bay leaves and 2 teaspoons oregano, turn the meat in it and cover, marinate overnight, as cool as possible.
Peel the shallots the next day. Drain the meat cubes and place on grill skewers with the shallots so that they touch each other while lying flat. Put the bay leaves in between.
Place the skewers on the preheated grill and grill for 4-5 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the meat. Serve with rice.
You can put tomato and pointed pepper pieces between the pieces of meat and grill with them.
Of course, you can also go with pork or veal.

A strong red country wine or retsina go perfectly with it.
