Instructions

  1. Chop the feta into small pieces and cut the plums into small pieces.
  2. Dice the onion finely, sauté in oil over medium heat for about 3 minutes until softened, then let cool for 5 minutes. Pluck the parsley from the stalks and chop finely.
  3. Put the ground beef in a bowl, press the garlic, and add the feta, plums, sautéed onion, and parsley from steps 1 and 2, along with the tomato paste, salt, and both types of paprika. Knead for about 2 minutes until everything is well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste, but remember that feta is salty.
  4. Divide the meat mixture into approximately 10 portions. Press one portion flat in your palm to about 0.5 cm thick, place some feta and plum pieces in the center, fold and press the meat over it to enclose the filling, and form a flat meatball. Grill over medium-high heat for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through.
  5. Alternatively, form smaller meatballs. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat, fry for about 8-10 minutes while turning occasionally until browned and cooked through, and serve as a main course with fruity tomato sauce and pasta.
  6. Cool the meatballs and serve as cold appetizers on a buffet.
