Instructions

  1. Wash oranges with hot water, thinly rub the skin, then peel, fillet and dice. Wash, clean, core the chillies and cut into fine strips. Peel and finely dice the garlic. Clean and wash the onions and cut into rings. Mix the mince with the orange peel, onions, toasted bread cubes, egg yolks, salt, pepper, cinnamon, 4 tablespoons soy sauce and half each of the garlic and chilli and knead well. Shape the mince into 20 meatballs. Heat the oil and fry the rest of the garlic and chilli in it until translucent, add the tomatoes, honey, the rest of the soy sauce, coffee and oranges, simmer for 15 minutes. Fry the meatballs in oil all over, then add to the sauce and simmer for another 10 minutes, season with salt and pepper.
  2. This goes well with white bread or rice.
