Knead the minced meat, egg, breadcrumbs, herbs and spices into a mixture and then shape them into small balls. Put this in the boiling broth. The meatballs are ready in about 15 to 20 minutes.
In the meantime, dice the onions and sauté them in heated oil. Add the can of tomatoes. Season to taste and mix everything well. Add the chopped garlic and sauté. Deglaze with a dash of cream and tomato paste and season again vigorously. Let simmer a little more.
Arrange meatballs and tomato sauce on plates and serve.
