Cut the onions into rings and fry in oil until they are browned. Then glaze the onions with the honey until the honey forms bubbles. Deglaze with cream or Cremefine and season with salt and pepper.
We especially like to eat this side dish with steaks and potatoes. Even my children, who are actually onion haters, like the medieval onions.
My brother brought this recipe back from a medieval market a long time ago - hence the name.
