Beat the egg whites with the sugar until stiff. Carefully stir in the vanilla sauce powder. Spread the mixture on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle the chopped almonds on top. Bake for 15-17 minutes at 170 degrees. Take out of the oven, place a tea towel over it and turn it over. Let cool down.
Whip the cream until stiff and coat the cooled meringue with it. Spread the fresh or well-drained fruit on top. Then just roll in from the long side.
Serve well chilled. I got this recipe from a Norwegian; it is very popular there and since I`ve known it, also with us.
