Instructions

  1. Sear 500 g of minced meat in a hot pan, in the meantime open the two cans of beans and the can of corn and allow to drain. Wash and dice tomatoes, put in a small bowl. Wash the iceberg lettuce, cut about a third of it into narrow strips, also place in a bowl or on a plate.
  2. Add the Texicana Salsa Sauce to the roasted minced meat (to get the leftover sauce out of the bottle, it is best to fill in a little water, put the cap on it, shake it, and add to the minced meat - this makes the sauce less thick, which affects everyone Case feels good.)
  3. The drained beans and corn are then added to the minced meat and sauce. Now put the lid on and simmer (over low heat) for about 10-15 minutes, the best thing to do is to simply test whether the beans are already soft!
  4. Now it`s all about the right timing: shortly before or when the salsa sauce is ready, the wheat flatbreads (only as many as are eaten immediately; the flatbreads cool down quickly, but should be nice and warm when eating) in the preheated one Oven (180 °). But be careful: you don`t need long in it (1-1.5 minutes)!
  5. The following comes on the table: The salsa sauce, we always leave it in the pan and a larger spoon for it. The grated cheese, preferably in a bowl, the diced tomatoes (handy: a tablespoon), the sliced iceberg lettuce and creme fraiche or mayo (if 4 people eat, maybe better both, everyone likes something different).
  6. The tortillas come on the table; On the plate it`s all about creativity, because everyone tinkers for himself. We recommend: First the salsa sauce (about two tablespoons), then a few cubes of tomato, a bit of grated cheese, then lettuce and finally creme fraiche or (!) Mayo (but it also tastes very good without it - is also worth trying).
  7. Tortillas are folded from three sides, first from below, so that nothing falls out, and then the left and right, so with a little practice nothing can actually fly out - but first of all, napkins are absolutely necessary.
  8. Tip: Chicken breast turned out to be a good alternative to minced meat. It is seared in the same way (preferably crispy) and prepared with the same ingredients.
  9. As a little extra, there is also the option of adding red or yellow peppers to minced meat, beans and corn - it also tastes very tasty!
