Put the cherries with the cake topping and about 3 tablespoons of sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to the boil briefly and let cool down after thickening.
Mix the sugar, egg yolk, vanilla sugar and cream cheese together. In a separate bowl, whip the cream with the cream stiffener until stiff. Then stir the two masses together.
Mix the almond flakes with the sugar and toast them in a pan until they are golden brown.
Put the cherries in a bowl and spread the cream on top. Finally, sprinkle the almonds over the dessert.
