Instructions

  1. For the delicious chocolate batter, the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar are whipped until frothy. Then the eggs are added and mixed in well.
  2. The flour is mixed with the salt, the baking powder and the cocoa so that everything is better distributed later and then, alternating with the milk, stirred into the butter and egg mixture as briefly as possible.
  3. The dough is then placed in a lightly greased loaf pan with a length of approx. 30 cm and lined with baking paper and baked at 180 ° C (convection) for 25-30 minutes. If no more dough sticks to the chopsticks after baking, the cake is ready and has to cool down well.
  4. When the time comes, the dough is removed from the mold and divided horizontally twice with a cake cutter or knife.
  5. And since the whole thing is supposed to be an ice cream cake, the ice cream must of course not be missing: Here, like us, you can save some work and buy your favorite ice cream. Of course, making it yourself also works. Our Chocolate Chip Cookies Dough ice cream, Nutella or banana ice cream, for example, are perfect.
  6. The ice cream should thaw until it has a creamy consistency that is easy to spread. But don`t let them get too runny.
  7. Then the layering begins: The first layer forms one of the 3 cake bases. This is followed by a layer of ice cream, then a base, then ice cream again and roughly chopped M & M’s and of course the last base.
  8. Covered with cling film, the ice cream cake should then be placed in the freezer for at least 6 hours.
  9. After this time, the decoration continues. Simply whip the cream and brush the frozen cake with it. Our caramel and chocolate syrup and of course a few M & M’s also go really well with it.
