Instructions
- Knead the flour, oil, salt, yeast, and enough lukewarm water together in a bowl to form a firm, workable dough.
- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough thinly and cut small circles using a glass as a cutter.
- Heat the tomato sauce with salt, pepper, and harissa in a pot, simmering for 2 minutes. Season to taste with parsley and basil if desired.
- Peel the peppers and cut them into small cubes. Cut the onion into small cubes.
- Halve the salami or ham and cut the cheese into small pieces. Slice the eggs.
- Preheat the oven to 180-200°C (350-390°F) and line a baking sheet with baking paper.
- Place tomato sauce and filling ingredients in the center of each dough circle, fold in half, and press the edges firmly to seal.
- Arrange the calzones on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes until golden.
