Instructions

  1. Cut the red cabbage into fine strips, heat the lard in the saucepan and add the finely diced onions, briefly roast them until translucent, add the cut red cabbage, lightly sear and pour on half of the mulled wine (add the juice of a freshly squeezed orange), cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon stick and Add sugar.
  2. Grate the fresh ginger and orange peel and add to the red cabbage, simmer everything very gently.
  3. Top up with the rest of the mulled wine according to your taste and add sugar and cinnamon to taste.
  4. Fillet the remaining orange, cut into strips and add to the red cabbage for the last 10 minutes.
