Mix the cassis and rum, pour into a bottle and add the spices. Let it steep for about 1 week at room temperature and shake it several times. Then strain off the spices and pour the mulled wine fix mixture into a clean bottle. For mulled wine, mix 1 glass of hot red wine with 2-3 tablespoons of mulled wine fix mixture. Shelf life about 6 months.
