Instructions

  1. Separate the eggs, then mix the two egg yolks with the quark and pudding powder to form a smooth dough. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until they are very stiff. Carefully fold this under the dough. Pour the dough into a greased springform pan or lined with baking paper.
  2. Bake in the hot oven for about an hour at 150 degrees top / bottom heat. Do a stick test after an hour. If the batter remains on the stick, leave it in the oven for another 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Tip: If you like, you can vary this cake endlessly with frozen fruit, fresh fruit or - as in the photo - with a few chocolate shavings. There are no limits to your imagination.
  4. Because the pudding powder is already sweetened, no additional sweetness is required. This cake made according to this basic recipe only has about 600 calories.
