Instructions

  1. For the pre-dough, pour the flour into a large bowl and form a hollow. Pour the dry yeast in the middle and add approx. 3-4 tablespoons of warm milk. Then stir the yeast and milk a little and place in the oven to rest. I just turned on the light. No temperature !!
  2. Let the dough rise for 2 hours. This gives the dough a much better consistency.
  3. Now knead the remaining ingredients into the pre-dough and let it rest in the oven for 1 hour. Again just turn on the lamp.
  4. Then knead the dough vigorously again and put it in the baking pan. Or you make loose bread, which means that you shape the dough and place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper!
  5. Personally, I prefer the tray with a little flour on the baking paper!
  6. You have preheated the oven to 250 ° C beforehand. I use top and bottom heat and have achieved the best results with it!
  7. Now cut into the bread a few more times and wet it a little with water. Then into the oven and steam vigorously for about 7-10 minutes! Then, VERY IMPORTANT, set the oven temperature to 180-190 ° C and bake for another 20-25 minutes! If you don`t turn the temperature down, it`s like the first time, the bread will be a little darker. So pay attention to the temperature and the color in between.
  8. Maybe a little word about vanilla sugar. I took the homemade one because it has a lot more flavor than the machine-made one. I like the taste in bread !! Is finer and simply goes better with it!
