Instructions

  1. Cut the raw potatoes into small sticks. 1 heaped hand of potatoes makes about one serving.
  2. Cover the bottom of the pan with oil and let it get hot. Put the potatoes in the pan and toss them through so that they are moistened with oil.
  3. If required, turmeric can also be added to the oil, this gives a nice, strong yellow color, but is not necessary in terms of taste.
  4. Cover the pan lightly with a lid so that the potatoes can cook. To do this, turn down the heat a little. Takes about 15-20 minutes. Swing from time to time.
  5. When the potatoes are almost cooked, sprinkle a good pinch of salt over them. Also pour the cumin over the potatoes, about 1 tablespoon for 2 servings.
  6. Finally, remove the lid again, toss the potatoes through again and fry them until crispy.
