Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles in salted water until they are almost al dente, drain. Dice the bacon, dice the onion and fry without adding any fat over a mild heat until translucent. If cooked ham or roast leftovers are used, about 1 tablespoon of oil should be added to fry them. Then add the can of baked beans, pepper and heat over a mild heat.
  2. Now add the cooked noodles so that a 24cm pan is 3/4 full. Add the diced cheese (strong mountain cheese as possible, but everything else is also possible - depending on your taste) and mix well with the pasta. With the lid closed, simmer for a good 5 minutes over a mild heat and stir once in between.
  3. Take the pan off the fire and pour the three beaten eggs (seasoned with a little salt, pepper and nutmeg) over it and stir in briefly. Now sprinkle the whole thing with grated cheese and slide it directly under the grill. If your oven doesn`t have a grill, bake for a few minutes at maximum top heat until the cheese melts and is ideally lightly browned. Then let cool for a good ten minutes.
  4. A good tomato ketchup and a fresh salad go well with it.

  6. This is basically just the basic recipe, which can be modified according to your mood or the contents of the refrigerator. Try this recipe e.g., sometimes with smoked kippers from the can (drain very well!), Otherwise all ingredients as described.
