Instructions

  1. Let the chia seeds swell briefly with water until a jelly has formed. This serves as an egg substitute.
  2. In the meantime, mix the oatmeal with the milk, add the cheese, fried onions and chia jelly and mix. Let it steep briefly. Then add the spices (I used salt, pepper, sweet paprika and marjoram) and knead again.
  3. Shape 8 patties (each weighing approx. 125 g) with wet hands and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Brush the patties with a little oil on both sides. Now bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes at 200 ° C, then turn and bake for another 5 - 10 minutes (depending on the degree of browning already obtained).
  4. Please note that many people with celiac disease cannot tolerate gluten-free oat flakes and gluten-free wheat starch and should be completely avoided at the beginning of the newly diagnosed celiac disease.
