Instructions

  1. Peel the onion and cut into not too small cubes. Sweat in a pan for about 10 minutes and let cool down a little.
  2. In the meantime, mix the sour cream (or sour cream) with the egg, pepper, salt and paprika powder, dice the feta cheese and mix with the onions.
  3. Cut the puff pastry into 12 equal-sized rectangles, pull out a little larger and place in the greased recesses of the muffin tin. The puff pastry should be put out of the refrigerator a few minutes beforehand, then the rectangles can be drawn better.
  4. Now distribute the onion and feta mixture on the puff pastry and pour the onion mixture over it. Bake for about 30 minutes in the oven preheated according to the package instructions for the puff pastry. The muffins are ready when the puff pastry is nicely browned.
  5. Depending on your taste, you can sprinkle grated cheese on top or use bacon instead of feta cheese. Then fry the bacon first and then add the onions and fry with them.
  6. If you want to save calories, you can use yeast dough instead of puff pastry. To do this, shape balls out of the yeast dough, roll them out and place them in the hollows of the form.
