Peel and slice the onions and press them apart into rings.
Peel and cut the apples into eighths, then cut the eighths into small slices.
Heat the oil in the pan, but don`t let it get too hot, add the onion rings and sauté until translucent. Now add the prepared apples and let the whole thing smuggle over a medium to low flame. Keep stirring as you don`t want the whole thing to fry too much.
Now season with salt and pepper.
The vegetables should still have a light bite, but no longer taste raw.
