Instructions

  1. First, the peel of one of the oranges is rubbed and placed in a container. Then all the oranges are squeezed and the juice is poured through a fine sieve to the grated orange peel. Then add the powdered sugar and ice-cold cream. (Depending on the brand, the icing sugar is easier or worse to stir in. If it forms lumps, simply use a whisk to help.)
  2. Do not throw away the hollowed out orange halves. You can cover them with plastic wrap and put them in the refrigerator. So you will have matching small serving bowls for the ice cream later.
  3. Before you can continue, the liquid must first be in the refrigerator for half an hour so that it cools down really well.
  4. After this time, the whole thing is placed in the ice cream machine to the desired consistency and can then be served in the hollowed out orange halves.
