Bring 1 liter of water to a boil in the saucepan. Pour the loose tea into a bag or take 4 tea bags and boil for five minutes, then remove.
Wash the orange thoroughly, dry it and then remove the peel with a peeler, making sure that only the orange-colored layer of the peel, not the white, is peeled off, it contains bitter substances.
Now squeeze out the juice. Add the zest, juice and mint (not chopped, with a stem) to the saucepan. Bring everything to the boil again and dissolve the desired amount of sugar in it. Pass the tea through a sieve and let it cool down.
For decoration you can put a few slices of orange, ice cubes and mint leaves in a glass jug and serve well chilled.
