Instructions

  1. Mix the quark with the natural yoghurt, 2 tablespoons of the orange juice and 50 g of sugar or sweetener. Stir until smooth and chill.
  2. Soak the gelatine according to the instructions on the packet.
  3. Caramelize 2 tablespoons of sugar in a saucepan until it is light brown. Deglaze the sugar with the rest of the orange juice - don`t worry, the sugar will come off the bottom of the pot after a few minutes. Bring to the boil once and remove from the stove. Squeeze out the soaked gelatine, mix it with the warm juice and refrigerate until the mixture has thickened a bit.
  4. Now put half of the cold quark into a serving bowl, then pour the slightly whipped orange juice over it and finally spread the second half of the quark mixture over it. Chill the whole thing until eaten.
  5. Then peel the two oranges, cut into wedges and serve the cream garnished with orange wedges.
  6. In summer it is a very light and not too sweet dessert - anyone who likes to eat the Cornetto Bottermelk ice cream will love this dessert.
  7. The calories refer to skimmed yoghurt and quark - but without sweetener, but with sugar.
