Orange Pie (no Wheat Flour) Instructions

  1. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Pour brown sugar into a glass, add water and mix well. Put the resulting sugar mass in a baking dish and spread evenly over the bottom.
  3. Cut the orange in half. Cut off three thin orange circles, two of which are cut in half.
  4. Place prepared orange slices and a circle on the brown sugar layer in a tin.
  5. Remove the zest from one orange using a fine grater and mix in a bowl with white sugar. Add softened butter and mix thoroughly.
  6. Separate the egg whites from the yolks.

  7. Add the yolks one at a time to the bowl of the butter mixture and stir.
  8. Squeeze the juice out of the oranges and add to a bowl with the butter-yolk mass.
  9. Add cottage cheese, stir. Add salt.
  10. Add almond flour and corn grits.

  12. Beat the egg whites until stiff.
  13. Add the whipped egg whites to the dough and mix gently.
  14. Place the dough in a baking dish and smooth the surface with a silicone spatula.
  15. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the orange cheesecake for 50 minutes.
  16. Remove the finished orange pie from the oven and leave to cool. Then turn the orange pie onto a board or platter and remove the mold.
