Peel the oranges with a sharp knife, removing any white skins. Now cut the fruit crosswise into slices. Cut into the dates, remove the stone and cut the pulp into small pieces.
Divide the orange slices on 4 dessert plates and pour the date pieces over them. Sprinkle with mallow leaves and then serve garnished with lemon balm.
